Cell Phones on site

The reception for mobile devices varies on our pitch, but overall it is not the best. Our experience is that you will only have a maximum of 1-2 out of 5 bars of reception quality on your mobile phone. Your phone will connect to one of the three major Swedish mobile phone providers: Telia, Tele2 or Telenor. However, it is usually possible to make calls outdoors.

The same applies to LTE reception (4G). In order to have a stable reception you could bring a separate LTE router (possibly with an external antenna) and your own data card, even in your holiday home or camper. Depending on the weather, the reception performance usually fluctuates between 5 and 20 Mbit/s.


Internet/Wifi

We access our internet via LTE. With a high-quality router and antenna, we can offer you a pretty stable reception.

In the holiday homes you have sufficient wifi reception - also for multimedia content.
The campsite is also covered by wifi, but it still happens time and again that there is no reception in mobile homes or caravans with weak receivers (mobile phones, tablets).

Shop

In the small sales area in the service building, we display various souvenirs and hand-crafted items. Here guests will find, among other things: the hiking guide "Oviksfjällen", key chains, homemade jam, tea lights, wooden boards, Dala horses for carving, a moose stuffed animal, hats and caps with and without embroidery, T-shirts, reindeer skin, reindeer antlers and topographical maps of the "Jämtlandsfjällen".

Guests are also welcome to buy reindeer meat or elk meat, which we source from the local Sami village Tossåsen. We also have reindeer antlers in different sizes as a souvenir or to be used for handicrafts. The reindeer fur also comes from reindeer that graze in our area all year round.

Wood-Fired Sauna

The outdoor sauna offers a nice and warm experience. The wood-fired sauna is located next to the service house and is heated with a classic wood-burning stove. From the benches you have a direct view of the surrounding forest. The sauna is rented for a certain period of time and is then available to the guest for sole use. Price: 25 EUR for 2 people (1.5 hours).

The wood-fired sauna is right at the edge of the forest. It is perfect to combine holidays in Sweden with the typical Swedish sauna.

In the sauna area, a powerful Finnish wood stove provides direct heat. There is space for 2-4 people on the benches.

Playground

There is enough space to run around and play on Galå Fjällgård. On the large lawn in front of the barbecue hut there are two climbing towers, which are combined with a slide, a climbing wall, a fire brigade pole and a rope net bridge. This playing area is structurally shielded from the holiday homes and campsite, so that your private areas remain quiet even with kids playing outside.

You can test your balancing skills on two gymnastics bars or on the seesaw. You can dig and build in the sandbox. The "Children's Café" with its small three-cornered house, bar and drinks tap is very popular. A larger climbing wall is located at the edge of the parking space.

A seat for babies and toddlers can be attached to the newly built 4-seater swing made from solid round trunks in 2020.

A new trampoline offers a maximum of jumping fun.

Barbecue Hut

In the middle of our lodge, there is a grill hut for cozy evenings around the campfire or for barbecuing.

The grill hut is equipped with a fire pit and grill grate. A cast iron pan and a wok can be borrowed. We are happy to provide our guests with firewood for a cozy evening free of charge.

Various grilled food can be prepared over the open fire. Let the fire burn down, then you will get enough embers for further preparation.

On dark nights, the Grillkåta sometimes only shines in candlelight. Not only on Christmas and New Year's Eve, but also on many other quiet winter evenings you can sit here and wait for the Northern Lights.

We offer homemade reindeer burgers or sliced reindeer meet. Prepared in the cast iron pan both will have a wonderful, unique taste.
